UP, UP AND AWAY.....

To tide you over, here's a picture of some German pastry, called Krapfen. Germans make slightly different Krapfen for special occasions such as Easter. Most of them resemble donuts and some have jelly filling. Krapfen are your basic fried-dough configuration from this part of the world.
Here is the traditional type for the church's anniversary in the little village of Bischberg where I lived:

You may note that I used the past tense previously, as in "village where I lived" - this means I am officially living near Munich now. The move is complete! Yay!
