With almost every other major US carrier announcing some sort of double data promotion within the last month (Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile), we were starting to wonder if Verizon was going to completely ignore the trend and instead stick to their current set of MORE Everything plans that are really looking overpriced at the moment. It appears as if they are joining the party after all. In a blog post this morning, Verizon has announced that many of their MORE Everything plans are seeing double the data with no price hikes for a limited time.
The list of data plan changes can be seen below, with most seeing double their current buckets. For example, the 20GB plan now has 40GB of data for $150, same as the 30GB, 40GB, and 50GB plans which are now 60GB ($225), 80GB ($300), and 100GB ($375), respectively. Plans not seeing a full double data match are the 12GB (jumping to 15GB) and 16GB plans (jumping to 30GB).

The promotion kicks off tomorrow, October 2, and ends October 31. In other words, you have about a month to sign-up for the new plans if you want the extra data. Verizon doesn’t mention if current customers can just walk in and re-sign up and a expiration on these new double data buckets, but I would imagine they are good for the life of a contract.
