According to his wife in a comment, this 'big guy' is actually an "Hispanic, Disabled Gulf War Veteran" who came to the rescue of a defenseless woman when nobody else would. The woman was being choked by the man she was with and as the wife stated, "We have no tolerance for violence in my family. We have zero tolerance for any violence against women." Bless their souls!

The wife also mentioned in the comment that just last week in Montgomery, Alabama another good citizen jumped in to try and help someone but ended up being shot and killed in the parking lot afterwards.
